The NEKPA aim is it to:
Inspire, Motivate & Communicate with regional renal patients and their families.
We hope you find this site useful but if you have any renal related questions
please do not hesitate to contact us contact@nekpa.org.uk
Membership is free and open to all patients and carers in the area
We are a non-profit, self-help organisation run by volunteers comprising renal patients, living donors, their families and others.
We are an active within the National Kidney Federation, North East & North Cumbria Renal Network and we work with Kidney Research, Kidney Care UK and Polycystic Kidney Disease Charity (PKD) to further their aims.
We have recently expanded our area and now cover the renal units associated with James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough and Royal Sunderland Hospital and their satellite units in Stockton, Darlington, North Ormesby, ,Northallerton, Washington and Durham.
Newly diagnosed patients are encouraged to join the association to find out about the benefits and services available to them.
The main aim of the association is to enable patients and families to help and support each other, materially and in morale, and where appropriate, for the association to help them financially.
All our Committee have personal experience of kidney related illness, transplant (recipient and donor), all forms of dialysis and also caring for a family member.
We are always looking for people to join the charity and help to
'Inspire, Motivate & Communicate'
patients with kidney illness and their supporting family or friends.
