Kidney Care UK have a closed Facebook Group that has over 7,000 members who are all affected by kidney disease in some way. The group is moderated and private so is a safe place to discuss any issues, you may have (medical, financial or other), with people in similar situations and experiences.
If you’re a kidney patient struggling to make ends meet we can help you.
Due to the donations we have received, since Summer 2018 NEKPA have been in a position to allow members to apply for a grant to help with day to day living. For further information, please email Annie Oldfield or ring her on 07460 874034
The North East Kidney Care Advocacy Officer is Joanna Bates who can also offer help with grant applications and liaise with Hospitals and Government agencies to help alleviate your difficulties.
Please ring 01420 541424 and your details will be given to her.
We here at NEKPA all have personal experience of kidney related illness, renal transplants (recipient or donor), all forms of dialysis and not least, either caring for or living with, a person experiencing any of the above. We are here to help you!
